Sherwood Grange - Ticking all the boxes

Ticking all the boxes

Family and home-town links, mountain views and frontage to the beautiful Emu Reserve ticked all the boxes for Sherwood Grange purchasers Roslyn Donohue and Keegan Howe.

Parents to nine-month-old Maeve, the second time home-buyers have lived in various nearby towns – Keilor Downs, Essendon and the likes – but elected to set up their family hub where Keegan grew up, in Sunbury.

Keegan’s siblings, brother Kyle and sister Rachel, are of a similar mind and have both purchased at Sherwood Grange as well.

It’s fair to say new mum Roslyn is happy to have the family about. Plus the open space of Emu Bottom, a large 680 sqm lot to accommodate a double-storey home and sizeable garage for electrical engineer Keegan’s bikes.

“We bought in Sunbury recently, we had been in Essendon, but we’ve been here since August last year.” says Roslyn.

“Keegan grew up here. He’s moved around a bit but came back. I grew up in Keilor Downs and moved around bit.

“I like that we’ll get mountain views and that Sherwood Grange is family estate. We’ve got a good spot and we’re close to the nature reserve.

“This will be the second home we’ve bought. We’re looking to upgrade our house. I’m being a bit being indecisive about the house design but I want space and storage, they’re my two things.”

Another thing that will be a real bonus is having little Maeve’s cousin living nearby.

With Roslyn both a primary teacher and artist, with an interest in the nature in abundance at Emu Bottom, Maeve looks all set for a very interesting and active childhood.
