LOCAL NOUS GOES A LONG WAY

LOCAL NOUS GOES A LONG WAY

Luke and Natalie Burnett are a happy couple after securing the exact allotment they had their eyes on at Sherwood Grange. They knew just what they wanted.

And no surprise, a little local knowledge can go a long way for any homebuyer.

For Luke and Natalie, who both grew up in Sunbury, that local knowledge was invaluable, just like a red-hot inside tip. Luke in fact grew up just around the corner from Sherwood and his parents live at Emu Bottom.

And so he was one of the very first people to express an interest in Sherwood Grange.

“We heard of the project years ago, when it was just a rumour, and were immediately interested,” says Luke.

When sales opened, they were the first out of the starting blocks to secure their dream block. And not just any block – but a thumping 1500sqm corner lot facing the Emu Bottom nature reserve with Sunbury friends all about.

“Size does matter,” Luke laughs. “This will allow us a big double-storey home and a large shed for all the toys and heaps of space to have a few froths with our mates.”

Luke runs a local plastering and property maintenance business with Natalie and is a familiar face around Sunbury and the Macedon Ranges.

“I do a lot of work locally and around the Macedon Ranges area, which is good, and Sunbury has everything here that you need. I’ve got no interest to go anywhere near the CBD.”

Luke and Natalie have two kids, Nevaeh, 12, and Nate, 10, who attend Sunbury College and Kismet Park Primary. Their new home will be their third and forever home.

“The estate should be a nice area to raise a young family,” says Luke.

“We have a lot of young families and friends as our neighbours. We didn’t know this until after we had purchased our block and got talking to our mates.

“We can’t wait!”
