Thirty-six years along its remarkable journey, Villawood Properties is Australia’s leading greenfields developer. Its reputation, built on a record of innovative quality, community care and delivery, has set benchmarks for developers across the country. Our modest Bendigo beginnings of 1989 have grown exponentially to 73 completed projects, with 29 currently on market and a pipeline of at least 18 more, covering the full length of the eastern seaboard from Adelaide to Cairns.
The Villawood Spirit mantra is simple but profound: It’s About Life. This means building long-lasting ties and groups, friendships and networks. It’s not just about houses and blocks of land. It is about helping build greater purpose into people’s lives, about watching each other’s backs and caring for one another.

The Good Home’s $973,000 auction success at Villawood’s Oakden Rise marks a terrific testament to the power of community caring for community. Glorious spring weather, a buzzing crowd and 12 eager bidders set the scene for a thrilling auction, with every dollar going to The Advertiser Foundation’s Kids Appeal to support six vital charities.
The Good Home initiative brought together Villawood, Weeks Homes and The Advertiser Foundation, showcasing the strength of community and corporate partnerships working together for a meaningful cause. The event delivered an outstanding outcome that will help change the lives of South Australian children and families for the better.

A sleek floating boardwalk and lookout on a rocky knoll at Villawood’s Rathdowne, shortlisted in this year’s Planning Institute of Australia awards, highlights the possibilities of design highlighting with Indigenous and heritage elements. With views as far as the Melbourne CBD and taking in local waterways and surrounding landscapes, the lookout is an exemplar of touch-the-earth-lightly engineering, and a striking celebration of an important Wurundjeri meeting place.
