Wandana Testimonial - The Gras Family
Ticking all the boxes at Wandana
Born-and-bred Geelong locals Richard and Donna Gras are long familiar with the attributes of Highton and Ceres.
They love the area’s elevated sites and faraway views. So when they decided to sell and downsize from their Highton home, they rented locally to see what might come up on the market.
They found what they wanted at Villawood Properties’ Wandana. They secured the block after Donna camped out on site for two nights.
“We’d seen the big Wandana sign up for a while,” Richard said. “We weren’t sure what would happen but we were interested if it opened up.
“We had our eyes on it then followed the journey, got on the website and the mailing list.
“We’ve only two kids now at home – one at uni and one in year 11 next year – so we didn’t need the size of the house we had.”
Donna said they looked around Highton Ridge “and a few other places” but found nothing “with the value attached to the Wandana site”.
Richard works in Melbourne and, using the nearby ring road, can get there in 55 minutes for an early-morning start. Donna can use the road, too, to get to her work in Torquay.
“It ticks all the boxes with its proximity to the ring road for work for our jobs in Melbourne and Torquay plus Deakin as well as other local schools and shops,” Richard said.
