The Good Home is officially open!
To mark this milestone, on Friday 12th September we welcomed all trades and suppliers who so generously contributed their time, skills, and resources to bring this remarkable charity home to life, to say thank you and to recognise their extraordinary effort. The occasion included an official ribbon cutting, followed by the opportunity for guests to tour the finished home and see firsthand the results of their hard work and generosity.
Guests then heard inspiring words from our speakers including special guests, Penny Fowler – News Ltd Australia Community Ambassador, The Hon. Tom Koutsantonis -Minister for Infrastructure and Transport. Each speaker shared their reflections on the powerful collaboration that made The Good Home possible and the lasting difference it will create for South Australian children and families. Their heartfelt messages captured the true spirit of this initiative—proof that when a community comes together, amazing things happen.
The fully furnished home will be available for purchase at auction on Saturday 1st November, with every dollar raised going to the SA Kids Appeal, supporting six local charities.
