Teens Happy To Dig In At The Good Home
Teens Jeremiah, 14, and Callum, 17, rolled up their sleeves to lend a helping hand at the Good Home charity build on Wednesday.
With the Oakden Rise home’s interior almost done, both boys embraced their green thumbs to help young landscaper Charlotte Battams, 18, from Day’s Landscaping out in the garden.
For Callum, who is a musician and shredder operator, it was another string to add to his bow.
“I want to help out in as many ways as I can,” the Murray Bridge teen said.
Currently studying aged care at TAFE, he wouldn’t be where he is today without the support of The Sammy D Foundation.
“It’s the best feeling having someone that you can trust and go to,”It wouldn’t be Sammy D without all the people that chip in.”
Jeremiah has been involved with Kick Start for Kids since primary school and said the program has helped him meet new people and make friends.
“Meeting new people there made me feel better and made my life better,” the Year 9 Woodville High School student said.
