Sales Office Opens at Villawood's St Andrews
Villawood Properties have opened their St Andrews land sales office at Andrews Farm following the first lot release last month to meet heavy early market demand.
The 700-lot project is tipped to open Adelaide’s north as a new growth corridor underscored by new standards of urban design, amenity and affordability.
Last month’s early release sell-out of a 20-lot tranche, on the back of almost 300 expressions of interest, was a powerful testament to the award-winning developer’s leap of faith with its first foray into South Australia and into Adelaide’s north.
Villawood recently announced five projects totalling 5000 lots in Adelaide, including a 1500-lot Oakden project with Renewal SA launched by Premier Steve Marshall. Others will be built at Gawler Belt, Golden Grove and Seacliff.
St Andrews is the first of these communities to come to market and has been greeted warmly by buyers keen to embrace Villawood’s reputation as a prestigious urban designer with a sharp focus on community, sustainability, open space and value.
The new sales office reflects Villawood’s styling, with dynamic, bright marketing and assets, and signature sculptures including giant metal yellow-tailed cockatoos and branding. Its staff are expert property consultants backed by the full resources of a leading national developer.
St Andrews will offer a diverse range of lot sizes, price points from around $130K, boutique architect-designed home packages from low $300K, parks and playgrounds including an ornamental maze. Buyers will enjoy a new level of quality and affordability in Adelaide’s north with ready commuter access to the CBD, via the Northern Expressway.
St Andrews will be remarkable on several additional fronts:
- $10K savings to essential care workers such as nurses, paramedics, police, firefighters, teachers, and personal carers
- Block for block land donation to conservation bushland to enhance native biodiversity
- Signature public artworks by sculptor Folko Kooper, celebrating local fauna and flora
- High-quality landscaping
- Grassroots community group grants
- Owner-occupier buyers, with investors discouraged to maintain property values
The project forms a standout contemporary legacy for what is an historic wine and agricultural area with ornamental orchards in small scale throughout open spaces.
The Stuart O’Grady Bikeway runs alongside St Andrews, connecting to the Gawler township and Waterloo Corner. The project is bordered on the east a war memorial avenue of stunning eucalypts.
A giant corten metallic Villawood sign, complete with signature cockatoos by renowned sculptor Folko Kooper, has been installed on site, highlighting the developer’s arrival.
Villawood enjoys a lengthy catalogue of award-winning projects on the east coast across the fields of design, environment, masterplanning and community engagement.
“The ballot result at St Andrews, our very first sales in South Australia, is great news,” Villawood CEO Alan Miller said. “It confirms our confidence in the SA market’s desire for a new level of design excellence, community connection and creativity.
“Now we have our sales office open, people can see more clearly just what it is that Villawood is bringing to Adelaide’s north and I think they will be quite pleasantly surprised.
“Villawood has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in building strong community-focussed residential housing. St Andrews will bring a great standard to the market that will see the beginning of a new benchmark for Adelaide and South Australia.
“Our local knowledge plus Villawood’s 30-plus years of experience, its innovation and creativity, and its deliberate focus on constantly setting new standards will shake up the market. We are really looking to up the ante and home-buyers will be the beneficiaries.”
Mr Miller said Villawood Properties would be a unique player in the South Australia market, spearheaded by its St Andrews development.
“Villawood is focussed on seriously raising the standards for sustainable community housing in Australia. We are committing substantial expenses and resources to our SA operations,” he said.
“Nationally, we’ve managed to secure major sales, amid the interruption of Covid-19, on the back of our reputation for quality and affordability. At the same time, we’ve secured key new acquisitions and project launches in South Australia, Victoria and Queensland – even a market-leading, new range of architect-designed affordable homes.
“Plus we’ve just taken out Australia’s Best Residential award in the UDIA National Excellence Awards with our Montego Hills project on Queensland on top of the previous year’s Environmental Excellence and Best Residential Development awards in Victoria.”
