Popular local music program gets a boost
Villawood is proud to be able to give back to the local community and contribute in a positive way to the local environments in which our master planned communities reside. We see supporting the surrounding cultural, recreation, community and not-for-profit groups, sporting clubs, and schools as just one of the ways we can do this.
This year, The Arbour sponsored Burleigh Heads State School’s (BHSS) music program. According to the principal of 16 years Mr. Peter Tong, one in five students of BHSS joins the music program, and as the popularity of program grows so too does the need for equipment. The $1,500 donation allowed the school to upgrade the music equipment for the students that are part of the music program.
Villawood Properties QLD general manager Michael Williams attended BHSS’s annual music recital which showcased the amazing musical talents of the students and the music staff. He witnessed firsthand the joy that the program brings to students, staff and parents.
The sponsorship is part of Villawood Properties’ Community Grant Program, one of the company’s many philanthropy programs. The Villawood Foundation, which launched this year, administers more than $3.4 million nationally each year through a multitude of community grants and sponsorships to community and not-for-profit groups, sporting clubs, and schools in areas local to the developer’s communities.
