New Park for ARMSTRONG
Play is a seriously fundamental part of childhood. Kids need places to run, jump, tumble, sweat and connect to natural elements.
Kids also need to run around in more natural settings. They need to be able to play in dirt and be exposed to outdoor bacteria, which can improve their immune resistance and help avoid food allergies.
Getting their heart rate up helps reduce the massive strain on the public health system caused by diseases such as asthma, allergies and obesity.
Villawood knows the lure of iPads, online games, Xbox consoles, mobile phones and computers is strong. So we design and build outdoor playgrounds, big and small, that are fun enough and challenging enough to draw kids away from potential digital dangers.
At Armstrong, we have the fantastic Bunjil’s Nest adventure park which is a great favourite for residents and visitors from right across the Geelong and Surf Coast region.
But there are others as well: Pencil Park, Aviation Drive playground, Harmony Park, Jurana Crescent Park and yet another coming soon, Nova Park.
Armstrong Mount Duneed’s parks are immensely popular not just with kids but with parents and the whole family, who can pick the level of engagement they like: run with the kids, or try to keep up, or perhaps kick back and relax.
Picnics, outdoor parties and gatherings, community events, outdoor movie nights, Christmas parties, concerts, Cats footy workshops … we’ve had them all and we’ll have plenty more.
For now, though, check out Nova Park which will be coming your way later this year. It’s going to great. Again.
