Construction has commenced on the the final stage of Villawood’s thriving Helensvale community, The Surrounds this week.

The sold-out Maison features 17 homesites on Buckler Drive, completing the $650 million masterplanned estate.

“Winslow have been awarded the civil construction contract and have commenced the earthworks phase of the program, with the installation of retaining walls and services to follow,“ Villawood Properties Queensland general manager Michael Williams said.

“Title registration is anticipated to occur later this year meaning buyers will be able to start building their new homes rather quickly.”

The Maison Release sold out within a month, receiving an impressive 650 enquiries for the final 17 homesites. This overwhelming response highlights the strong demand for high-quality, spacious homesites on the northern end of the Gold Coast.

Located at the entry to The Surrounds neighbourhood, the new precinct will become a private enclave with homesites ranging between 284sqm – 681sqm.

All residents will have resort style amenities at their doorstep with Buckler Park and the $4 million Leisure Centre within easy walking distance. The Surrounds Leisure Centre features a heated lap pool, a fully equipped gym, private multi-purpose room, change facilities and local coffee haunt, FunnyBone Coffee.

Residents will also benefit from the significant open space on offer within the existing Surrounds community, with access to four multi-age and all ability parks, all connected by kilometres of walking and bicycle paths.

With a total of 640 home sites making up The Surrounds, the community has been popular with first home buyers, upgrade buyers and a mix of young professionals and families since it hit the market in 2016.

The Surrounds was recently ranked as the most in demand land estate in Queensland and the third most enquired about land estate nationwide by PropTrack’s New Home Report for June.
