In Victoria and NSW, demand for greener homes is growing, driven by consumer demand. Villawood’s Rory Costelloe told The Age, Sydney Morning Herald and Brisbane Times how Villawood’s ‘‘seven-star precincts’’ have been popular with buyers and show ‘‘it can be done’’. As he says: “They have an ambient temperature of about 18 degrees in winter, 23 in summer, so it doesn’t become a hot or a cold box. That’s a real difference.’’
