Good Friday Appeal Home Building on Bravery

By Chloe Bott
These three brave young Victorians visited the construction site of the nearly complete 2026 Good Friday Appeal House to see how it was shaping up.
Archie, Keni, Jack and their families – who know the Royal Children’s Hospital more intimately than most – enjoyed meeting some of the volunteer tradies who are giving up their time and talent to bring the Tarneit home to life.
Seven-year-old Archie frequently visits the Royal Children’s Hospital respiratory clinics for treatment and consultations.
“The Royal Children’s Hospital is where Archie and our whole family have found comfort, strength and incredible care when we needed it most,” Archie’s mother, Olivia, said.
“It has also been wonderful for Archie to catch up with a couple of the volunteer tradies who have contributed to the 2026 GFA House build.
“Knowing that all proceeds from the GFA auction will go to the Royal Children’s Hospital is significant in helping thousands of young patients get the treatment they need.”
The double-storey, five-bedroom charity home built by Henley on land donated by Villawood Properties will go under the hammer on Good Friday.
