Country lifestyle calls couple
Kingston’s Melanie and Adam Diehm have ditched city living for country life in the Scenic Rim. The couple had been searching for a house in the suburbs, including Crestmead, Marsden, and Kingston, while renting but were repeatedly priced out of the market. “We were looking anywhere we could afford, including so-called affordable suburbs in Logan, and we were still being priced out of the market for homes that needed a lot of work done to them and just didn’t feel big enough to accommodate our future family plans,” Mrs Diehm said. “We realised we wanted a complete lifestyle change in a quieter location with some land, room for a spacious yard for our two big dogs, and less noise and congestion.”
Their search led them to Eucalee at Gleneagle, outside Beaudesert. “When we discovered Eucalee, we were sold straight away as we love the idea of living within a masterplanned community with a strong community feel, plus the value on offer was unbelievable,” she said. The couple have designed a four bedroom, two-bathroom home with a media room on a 982sq m block.“For us it made much more sense to get a new home on a larger block and while there will be a wait for our home to be built, it will be ours, custom designed to suit our needs, and something that we have created together,” Mrs Diehm said.
