As we approach the much-anticipated completion of our inaugural stage at William Lakes, we have begun the necessary works on the Horrocks Highway Intersection.

The intersection upgrade works are being outworked by Villawood Properties in consultation with the Department of Infrastructure and Transport (DIT), to transform accessibility and safety in the area, particularly for those interested in visiting the William Lakes Boulevard is open to public traffic.

What You Need to Know

The interim intersection, is a pivotal part of this project, and will provide access to the William Lakes development. This interim solution is anticipated to be in place for several years and seamlessly integrates with the existing road network, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity with:

• Enhanced Accessibility
  This upgraded intersection will facilitate smooth ingress and egress into and out of the William Lakes development. Moreover, it will uphold the existing access routes to and from the Thiele Highway and the north-south axis along the Horrocks Highway.
• Safety First
  Through the implementation of new pavement, advanced line marking, as well as state-of-the-art lighting and signage, we’re committed to enhancing road safety for all commuters.

Project Timeline and Logistics

• Duration
  March 2024 to May 2024
• Traffic Management
  Access in both directions along Horrocks Highway will be maintained throughout the duration of the works. No detours will be enforced, ensuring minimal disruption to traffic.

• Contractor
  Catcon a DIT-accredited contractor are conducting the works.
