All systems go at Drew's Paddock Community in Ballarat

Great news with go-ahead at Villawood Properties’ Drew’s Paddock community with Midlands Golf Club at Ballarat’s Invermay Park after a marathon planning process.

The long-awaited planning nod follows an arduous four-year planning process for Stages 2 to 4 of the upmarket estate at Invermay Park. Its go-ahead on club land in Heinz Lane helps pave the way for the club’s $3 million redevelopment to finally push ahead.

Midlands chair Darren Bandy says the breakthrough means the club can push ahead with its masterplan to redevelop the clubhouse.
“The club is overwhelmed with the decision and looking forward to finally getting going with our masterplan to redevelop and expand and modernise the clubhouse together with our bowls and golf plans,” he says.

“We’re also looking forward to seeing new residents finally get their houses and moving on with lives which have been on hold for three years.”
Villawood’s Regional Victorian General Manager Julian Perez says the delays have been frustrating but he is “very grateful to be moving ahead at last”.

“The permit approval comes in time for summer construction and we are pulling all stops out to expedite construction. We have a local civil contractor, Wayne Horne Earthmoving ready to go,” he says.
