GFA Charity House Auction Heads for Coridale

Villawood is teaming up with Henley once again for the Royal Children’s Hospital’s Good Friday Appeal Charity House Auction – this time with a stunning two-storey 35-square home at our Coridale community in Lara.

The four-bedroom Henley Electra 35, a 7-star solar all electric design, is on a 512sqm lot opposite the new $7.6 million Club Coridale with its swimming p ool, gymnasium, café, multi-sports courts, family and function areas and more.

It really doesn’t come much better than this. The charity home will be appointed with luxury fittings and fixtures and finished with professional landscaping, decking, fully electric ducted reverse cycle heating and cooling system and window coverings – everything a buyer needs to move straight in.

All the furniture and decorative pieces inside the home, donated by Guest Furniture, will be included in the auction price.

The RCH GFA Charity Home Auction is one of Victoria’s most loved auction events and one of the biggest contributors to the appeal.  Each year, it attracts a mass crowd of up to 1000 people for a giant street party accompanying the auction. All proceeds of the fund-raiser will be donated to the Royal Children’s Hospital.

MORE than 100 tradies are racing to finish the 2023 Good Friday Appeal charity home in preparation for its auction in April.
Once completed, the Lara home by Henley and Villawood will go under the hammer with proceeds from the sale going to The Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
The annual auction, which has become a Good Friday tradition, is the biggest contributor to the appeal, having raised more than $18m over 30 years.
The sales attract a bumper crowd, with a celebratory street party following the auction.
Villawood Properties’ executive director Rory Costello said the annual fundraiser was an event the company felt incredibly proud to be a part of.
“We look to do something better every year,” he said.
The charity home this year notched a record $1.082m, a figure Mr Costello said he hoped to eclipse in 2023.
“We’re hoping all of Victoria will get behind the Good Friday Appeal,” he said.

The auction is a Good Friday fixture that has so far raised $9.4 million during Villawood’s 13 years and over $18 million during Henley’s 30 years.

Behind the landmark build are more than 100 volunteer trades and suppliers who donate their labour and resources to create the home in a highly sought greenfields location.
