Rachel Yacoub and her husband Michael have big plans to build their forever home in
Sunbury’s premium Sherwood Grange.
Sherwood Grange was a natural progression for the couple. They’ve lived in Sunbury for the past five years, they love the rural lifestyle and mountain views are part of their DNA.
Rachel is well known by locals in Sunbury, as one of their favourite pharmacists. She prides herself on giving great patient care within the community and endeavours to stay in Sunbury long term.
The young Sunbury pharmacist’s father will be helping the couple on the project and the three of them are already well advanced scoping out house and site plans for their 1000sqm lot.
Rachel and Michael are keen to upgrade from their existing 35sq home to a 70sq double-storey, five-bedroom, five-bathroom dream home that can cater for all their family and friends.
“We would love a big backyard for entertaining our guests but most importantly for our German shepherd, Henry,” says Rachel.
“Sunbury is such a great area. It has a peaceful country feel although it’s not too far from Melbourne’s CBD. It’s a great location and a great area to invest into. Sunbury is just booming.
“We are quite lucky that one of the most prestigious schools is located in Sunbury. Salesian College is renowned for its education and for building resilience into their students.
I couldn’t believe Sherwood Grange land is owned by Salesian College, hopefully our kids are guaranteed entry.
“My husband loves Emu Bottom reserve. We find it to be very peaceful down there. As soon as land became available in Sherwood Grange, we did not hesitate to purchase. We believe it will be a great area to raise a family.”
It’s fair to say Rachel’s a little excited about it all, and the prospect of bringing up a family there in the future. The sweetener on top of it all is her dad helping out.
“He’s a retired machinist but he’s built, and bought and sold, many houses. And he’s a perfectionist,” she says.
Which is just what you want when you’re building your forever home.
