Geelong Cats AFLW Star Georgie Prespakis Camps Out For Kimberley Release

We’re thrilled to report that our first land release at Kimberley was a great success, with 20 blocks sold on the release weekend

We had 8 eager groups camp out Friday night to ensure they secured their dream block of land on Saturday morning, amongst them was AFLW star, Georgie Prespakis.

Villawood: Georgie, congratulations on buying at Kimberley, it’s a big achievement. Are you pretty happy about it?
Georgie: I got here at 8pm and stayed overnight, it was a very long night. I was really keen on one of the blocks, I thought I’ll put my best foot forward and try and get it. I’m feeling over the moon about it, I’m really happy.

V: How come you chose Kimberley?
G: I’ve been looking for land all through the Sunbury area, it’s developing really rapidly and I think Villawood’s a really good investment.

V: Are you from Sunbury? Are you sticking close to home?
G: I live in Geelong, however, I have family who live in Sunbury and I grew up here.

V: Sunbury’s a bit of a secret to the rest of the world. Off the beaten track yet quite close to Melbourne
G: Honestly, I think Sunbury really goes under the radar. It’s got a regional feel, however, you’re really close to the city and it’s growing rapidly. It is going to be its own little area and I just love it. It’s a real good area, just away from everything

V: What attracted you to Villawood Properties?
G: I look at it from a residents’ club perspective at Kimberley. It’s going to have a real community feel. It’s going to draw a lot of people in, and me particularly, growing and wanting to get access to those kind of areas and the parks to walk, and all that opportunity.

V: Was the nearby Sunbury township a big factor in your buying decision?
G: Most certainly, you have to access to supermarkets, railway stations, however in Kimberley it’s all going to come, you won’t really need to be going into Sunbury for most things however, having it there at the moment is really beneficial for all buyers out here.

V: How about the club’s gym and pools, views, open spaces, parks, future shopping centre and schools?
G: I think there’s a lot to like about Kimberley. It will appeal to a lot of people.
