Rathdowne’s Shopping Centre Under Way

Construction has started on the $150 million Wollert Village at Villawood Properties’ Rathdowne community in Melbourne’s north, with Coles set to anchor the project.

Some 25 specialty retailers will include national operators alongside local businesses and services. Childcare and medical uses will broaden the centre’s scope, while specialty shops are expected to include convenience, lifestyle, dining and service-based businesses.

Construction is tipped to create 150 jobs, with ongoing jobs to follow across retail, hospitality, health, childcare and related services. The centre will inject an estimated $65 million into the local economy.

The centre is scheduled for completion in November 2027
