Rory Costelloe as the Founder and Executive Director of Villawood Properties boasts 30 years of experience in local government, engineering and broad acre development management. He is acknowledged as one of Australia’s most creative and innovative developers and with Tony Johnson has ensured that Villawood Properties today sets the standard in quality and premium design. From humble beginnings as a Bendigo-based property syndicate group, Rory's hands on management has seen Villawood grow to become one of the Australia’s most successful and credentialed property companies. With formal qualifications in Engineering, Rory contributes to a range of sector boards and leadership committees as well as industry, academic and government think-tanks. He is on the board of directors at the Urban Development Institute of Australia (Victoria Chapter), as well as the RMIT Planning Advisory Committee.  Rory is a guest lecturer for the RMIT Planning and Property department and is a Fellow of the Victorian Planning and Environmental Law Association (VPELA).

Tony Johnson joins Rory as one of Australia’s most experienced developers with over 30 years’ experience in the property market throughout Victoria, NSW and Qld. Tony commenced his career as a property valuer in 1981 and after several years, took up a sales position in Sunbury where he ultimately established his own real estate business for a period of over 8 years.  Tony then moved into the residential development sector and held various senior positions at Ardel and Wilbow Corporation. Tony has been responsible for the success of a number of award-winning residential, commercial and industrial developments and has had extensive involvement with the Victorian Chapter of the UDIA including 10 years on the board of directors and a past presidency. Tony joined Rory as joint Executive Director of Villawood Properties in 2006. Tony and Rory continue to grow the Villawood brand and expand the national profile of the company with increasing activity across the East Coast of Australia.
