The creative concept ‘Rathdowne in a Day’ was developed as a result of uniting the features of Rathdowne, with an artistic depiction.
Giovanna’s unique and committed style is inspired from her Brazilian heritage and travels around the world. Giovanna took elements of Rathdowne and found subtle ways of adding it into her impressive style of pattern work and symbols.
The spirit of Rathdowne is depicted through the suburban theme present throughout the entire mural.
Sculptures play a pivotal role that set Villawood communities apart. They create a sense of place.
The spectacular compass sculpture at Rathdowne represents a community that has come from “All Points of the Compass” – the official name of this masterpiece.
You’ll find companion pieces situated in the central community park such as the Curly Sedge sculpture and a series of bluestone suitcases.
