Villawood has been digging deep to help out care workers looking to build new homes. We've helped 360 families through $6.93m in grants at our greenfields communities, more than $2m of it in just the past four months with the grant sitting at $35,000 to celebrate our 35th birthday. The program is open to people employed as nurses, emergency services, teachers, including in early child care workers, and medical staff.

Late last month the Rathdowne, Wollert team celebrated with their 2024 Community Grant recipients. Hosted at Club Rathdowne, each of the groups, along with their community grants, received a gift pack and certificate and gave a talk on the amazing work they do within the local community. Groups included the Whittlesea Men's Shed, Wollert Fire Brigade – CFA, Udaya Sports and Arts Club, Wollert Secondary College, the 1st Epping Scout Group and the Multicultural Festival Group Inc with several of these groups having members resident at Rathdowne.
