Sisters First To Secure ARMSTRONG VillaRange

Sometimes buying a home with a sibling just makes perfect sense. Sisters Teleisha and Kayla Costello were the first to purchase a VillaRange home at Armstrong Mount Duneed and they haven’t looked back since. We asked how and why they made their investment decision.

“First off, it was exciting to know we got the first pick of the lot, facade and design we really wanted,” they said. “We really wanted to make sure we were the first appointment of the day, so that we could get in early before they were all snatched up.

“We had already decided to purchase at Armstrong Mount Duneed because we knew we loved the location, having both previously lived there. As two young people, it was great knowing that putting our finances together was going to get us a fantastic property that was good value and didn’t skimp on great design.

“We were lucky that it worked well with the timing of our life situations. We were both selling our own properties around the same time, so it made sense to team up for the next project.”

The Costello sisters love the location of Armstrong Mount Duneed, so close to both the city and the coast. The whole area keeps expanding, with new infrastructure, shops, schools, etc. It’s exciting to be a part of, they said.

“We chose the VillaRange because we really liked the contemporary nature of the homes and the fact that they are architect-designed but still affordable,” the sisters said. “More specifically, we chose the Atrium because the two-bedroom option worked perfectly for us and we liked the flow of the layout. They had architectural features like high ceilings and large windows that we hadn’t really seen in other options for the price bracket.

“Our current plan is to live there for at least a few years. We’re young, so our futures are uncertain, but it is reassuring to us to have a home base to fall back on. It’s a lifestyle investment so we plan to keep it for a while.”

Teleisha had sound reasons for deciding to buy with her sister. She liked the idea of sharing costs and reducing my monthly repayments.

“I previously lived in my own home in Sanctuary Armstrong Creek. Kayla lived there with me for a short time, so I already know I love living with her,” she says. “It just seemed like the logical choice. I wouldn’t trust anyone more than my sister to do this with. I’m so excited to live with her again.”

One of the best parts of purchasing a new home is setting it up and settling in. Teleisha explains: “Kayla and I have a lot of the same interests and we love styling a home, so I’m sure we’ll have a lot of fun putting the place together. I’m excited for the small things, like going across the road for coffee, quick drive to the beach and watching movies at home.

“I know my sister is looking to travel in the future, so it will be great to spend as much time with her as I can before she goes abroad.”
