Community Groups Can Share In $10k!

VILLAWOOD Properties is again stumping up community cash to support local groups and residents and is calling for applicants to make their best pitch.

The Armstrong Community Grants scheme is offering grants of $500 and $1000, with a total of $10,000 to give away to worthwhile causes.

“We want people to tell us about their group and why just it’s important to the Armstrong community,” a Villawood spokesman said.

“A lot of groups are out doing good things, sometimes unusual things, for the community and we want to give them a helping hand. “So if you’re a chess club or an underwater Rubik’s cube club, or maybe something more mainstream – a sports group, a book club, whatever – let us know and we’ll see if we
can help.”

To be eligible for a grant, groups must be local organisations that have operated for more than 12 months in Armstrong Creek, Mount Duneed, Marshall, Charlemont, Torquay, Grovedale or Waurn Ponds.

Grant applications close on June 27. To apply, email armstrong@villawoodproperties.com with “Community Grant application” in the subject line.
