Community Grants Up For Grabs At ARMSTRONG!
Villawood Properties is again stumping up community bucks to support local groups and residents and calling for applicants to make their best pitch.
The developer’s Armstrong Community Grants scheme is offering grants of $500 and $1000, with a total of $10,000 to give away to worthwhile causes.
“We want people to tell us about their group and why just it’s important to the Armstrong community,” a spokesperson for Villawood said.
“A lot of groups are out doing good things, sometimes unusual things, for the community and we want to give them a helping hand. So if you’re a chess club or an underwater Rubik’s Cube club, or maybe something more mainstream – a sports group, a book club, whatever –let us know and we’ll see if we can help.
“We have a total $10,000 in grants up for grabs for eligible groups. We’re after applications from groups including cultural, recreation, community, not-for-profit, sporting clubs and schools.”
Villawood encouraged people to tell any of their friends, family or work colleagues who they think might be interested in the grants to apply.
To be eligible for an Armstrong Community Grant, groups must be local organisations that have operated for more than 12 months in one of the following areas: Armstrong Creek, Mount Duneed, Marshall, Charlemont, Torquay, Grovedale or Waurn Ponds.
Applications close 27 June. Only applicants who provide the required information in the application form will be considered.
