The parents aired their grievances to upper house leader Bev McArthur and Liberal education spokesman Brad Rowswell on Monday afternoon at the 8ha site on the corner of Sovereign Drive and Boundary Rd in Mount Duneed that in 2012 was earmarked as the site of a new secondary school. South Barwon MP Darren Cheeseman pledged $1m for a business case just prior to the 2022 state election.

Be Beach Safe is the latest heavy-metal message in giant letters welcoming visitors to Torquay and the Surf Coast this summer. Torquay Surf Life Saving Club and developer Villawood Properties have joined forces in a bid to prevent any summer mishaps along the Surf Coast. The three-metre high corten messaging, along the Surf Coast Highway at Villawood’s Armstrong Mount Duneed, is aimed at raising awareness about the beach dangers for unwary swimmers.
