Double Win for Villawood at UDIA Excellence Awards

Villawood Properties has taken out two prestigious awards at the 2022 UDIA Vic Excellence Awards in a glittering ceremony at Melbourne’s Crown complex.

We won the Great Place Award for our Club Rathdowne residents’ club at our Rathdowne community at Wollert in Melbourne’s north – a testament to great design, community engagement and innovation.

Villawood’s ‘Life at its Peak’ Wandana community at Geelong also took out the UDIA’s Best Residential Development award for under 250 lots – similarly, a testament to excellent design, responsiveness and creativity.

Places like Club Rathdowne are really important for people moving into new communities. Our teams work really hard to make our Residents’ Clubs something special and different. These clubs are a real point of difference for newcomers, with lots of things to do and lots of ways for people to make new friends.

The Villawood team worked similarly very hard to get everything at Wandana perfect. Wandana is a great picturesque site but it presented a few challenges, which meant plenty of work for our designers and engineers. We pushed the envelope with height controls and open space and managed a great outcome with terrific views and parkland as a result.

The latest UDIA awards take Villawood’s trophy case out to 28 major awards since 1998 across design, masterplanning, environment, community engagement, residential excellence and more.
