Lake House Plans at William Lakes

Plans for The Lake House, a resident’s club part of Villawood’s William Lakes development, due to start construction in 2026.

The Lake House at Roseworthy set for 2026

Part of the Roseworthy Township expansion includes the proposed development of a ‘Residents’ Club’ called the Lake House, located at Villawood‘s William Lakes development on Lot 1001 Edward Road, Gawler Belt.

Currently under assessment, the proposed Lake House is estimated to start construction in 2026 and would be one of the first Residents’ Clubs in South Australia, with several already in Victoria and Queensland.

William Lakes‘ The Lakehouse would be one of 10 such facilities by Villawood Properties to date, building on the experience and knowledge garnered from earlier club iterations. Other sister clubs include Melbourne’s Club Rathdowne, a Great Place Excellence Award winner with the Urban Development Institute of Australia.

Villawood‘s clubs are designed to actively assist the lifestyle, health and community growth of residents in its residential projects.

Club facilities typically include a boutique cafe, heated outdoor swimming pool, kids’ wet deck, state-of-the-art gymnasium, large and kitted-out family space, an elegant and spacious function centre, multi-purpose sports court, community garden, barbecues, reception and foyer meeting space and car parking.

The clubs are contemporary facilities strategically located within estates for easy access and ready use. Their features provide for social, recreation, exercise, family, business and community activities.

They are supported with community development staff, overseen by a management provider and an owners corporation to a Villawood-endorsed charter focussed on community engagement and events.

The club model has in mind the fact most newcomers to these estates arrive not knowing anyone there and are keen to strike up new friendships and support networks, particularly for their young children.
