Montego Hills Wins National UDIA Awards Best Residential Development

Villawood Properties wins first national award in QLD for rare acreage estate

Villawood Properties’ sold-out Montego Hills community at Kingsholme in Queensland has taken out the top gong in the Residential Development category at the UDIA National Awards, going up against the country’s top developments.

This is the first national award the privately-owned company has taken out for a project based in QLD, taking Villawood Properties’ national tally to INSERT NUMBER UDIA development awards in the past two decades.

Villawood state development manager Michael Williams says Montego Hills offered buyers the best of both worlds making it a sellout success.

“Montego Hills offers residents a private country lifestyle close to the city centre, within the Brisbane to Gold Coast growth corridor” he said.

“The community comprises 158 acreage lots, with over 140 hectares of dedicated open space with 8km of bridle trails and walking tracks up and over the hilltop with spectacular views out to North Stradbroke Island.”

Villawood Properties worked closely with civil engineers Moreton’s Urban Solutions, Gassman Development Perspectives on town planning, Biome regarding stormwater and lead sales agents Oliver Hume to deliver the masterplanned community.

The UDIA National Awards is the development industry’s premier awards event. Montego Hills was judged against a mix of low and high density projects, with one project nominated from each state.

“The award reinforces the unique appeal of the estate as does the ongoing enquiry we continue to receive from buyers on the hunt for something that resembles what we delivered at Montego Hills,” Mr Williams said.

“Montego Hills was met with consistent demand which only intensified over the life of the project and as the supply of acreage land on the Gold Coast continues to dwindle so does the opportunity for buyers to secure this kind of lifestyle.”

Following the sellout success of Montego Hills and the imminent sellout of its Helensvale community The Surrounds, Villawood Properties acquired one of the last developable parcels of land at Burleigh Heads, and is preparing to launch a brand-new residential community known as The Arbour in the coming weeks.

Located on a 20.75-hectare elevated site at Burleigh Heads, the boutique community comprises 61 expansive lots ranging between 600sqm and 3000sqm along with five master lots.

“Like Montego Hills, The Arbour has been designed to be a highly considered residential subdivision in what will become a high quality, socially connected, thriving community.”

Villawood is a national developer with more than three decades of development experience and more than 60 award-winning master-planned communities delivered to date.

Villawood has two active developments currently selling between the Gold Coast and Brisbane – The Surrounds at Helensvale and Sequana at Logan Reserve, with The Arbour at Bureigh Heads preparing to launch to the market in the coming weeks.
