The Midlands pro-am, spearheaded by the Victorian Senior Masters, a PGA Legends Tour event, saw stars including Terry Price, Peter Senior, Peter O’Malley, Peter Fowler, Mike Harwood and David McKenzie displaying their considerable skills in the auld game and mixing with club members on and off course.
Junior sport is a crucial part of any community and Villawood is keen to ensure its Drew’s Paddock community — a very special collaboration between Midlands and Villawood — encourages the sporting aspirations of young people.
Attracting juniors to the great game of golf is critical not only for the sport’s future but for the ongoing success of the valuable Invermay Park community asset — and broader Ballarat asset — that is the Midlands Golf Club.
Growing a strong sense of community is core to all Villawood projects. Drew’s Paddock’s intrinsic links with Midlands through forward-thinking programs such as its juniors competition will help ensure this occurs.
