Good Friday Appeal

Villawood Properties is committed to creating special communities that will offer Australian families a brighter and greener future.

As part of this commitment, Villawood's kidsSTAR initiative raises funds for The Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne, which is widely considered one of the greatest paediatric hospitals in the world.

Through this program, Villawood donates a block of land with a home built by Henley Homes, to be auctioned as part of the annual Good Friday Appeal, with all proceeds from the sale of the home donated to The Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne.

GFA Auction 2017

The GFA Charity Home Auction was held in Geelong for the first time in 2017, with a stunning four-bedroom family home by Henley in Villawood Properties’ ARMSTRONG community going under the hammer.

The auction was televised live as part of Channel Seven's coverage of The Good Friday Appeal, with the segment hosted by Seven News reporter Paul Dowsley.  The house was sold for a blockbuster $627,500, with every dollar going to The Appeal. Check out all the action of the day here.

GFA Auction 2016

2016 saw a large home from our Trillium community auctioned, raising $663, 000 for The Royal Children’s Hospital. Televised live – the day was loads of fun with appearances from 2016 My Kitchen Rules personalities and a Katy Perry impersonator. GFA Auction 2014

The 2014 GFA  Auction was televised live from Villawood's Aspire community in Plumpton on 18 April 2014.  The best-selling Emperor Nouveau Q1 from builder Henley Properties went under the hammer and sold for $717,000, with all proceeds going to help the kids at The Royal Children's Hospital.

The televised auction was hosted by Luke Jacobz, from Channel Seven’s popular TV show, ‘The X Factor’, along with some of the stars from My Kitchen Rules and Home and Away. For more information check out our Aspire event page or watch the event video.

2015 marked the first time the GFA Charity auction was hosted by our Trillium community in Melbourne's North.

Broadcast live during Channel Seven's telecast of the Appeal, the award winning Henley Sahara Belle Q1 home yielded $646,000 for the Royal Children's Hospital in a no reserve auction.

The 2013 GFA Auction was held at Villawood’s Pasadena estate, was a star studded affair and one which celebrated Villawood’s fourth year of involvement in this event.

Melbourne based My Kitchen Rules Stars , Sam and Chris, joined Jay, this year’s GFA Auction ambassador for another successful year of the GFA Charity auction. Over the past four years, Villawood and Henley Homes have raised over $2.3 million for this amazing cause.

For the 2012 GFA Auction, Villawood Properties donated a block of land at its nationally-award-winning Alamanda community in Point Cook - a joint venture project with ISPT - and Henley donated a brand new double-storey, 8 star energy rated home, the Sahara Q1.

Together, the home and land package was put under the hammer at a no reserve auction on Good Friday and raised a whopping $605,000.

GFA Auction 2011

Australian champion netballer Renae Hallinan was on hand to lend some support to Villawood and Henley at the 2011 GFA Charity auction at Alamanda.

As tins rattled and many people dug deep to donate to the Appeal, a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny and Villawood’s Waddles the Platypus, and plenty of chocolate eggs, kept families entertained. This year’s auction raised an incredible $610,000 for the Royal Children’s Hospital.

2010 was the first year that Villawood Properties joined forces with Henley for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal Charity Auction.

Raising a total of $635,000 for the appeal, the auction saw a flurry of bids from buyers looking to secure the charity home located within the award-winning Alamanda Point Cook community by Villawood Properties.
